Swiftie

We live in a celebrity/famous , -attention seeking society. (In the USA)

I can be wooed by highly influential people.

Heck- I can be pretty wooed and influenced by anyone with a little "riz."

I'm not immune to being caught up in the black-hole-cycle of worship/hate - over musicians , actors ,celebrities and politicians .

I spent part of my writing & reading time "researching" the Taylor Swift phenomenon. (Not intended- a procrastination conundrum )

She's exceedingly compassionate, charitable, appreciative to her fans and friends.

A musically and wickedly creative icon

She's a person.

One person.

And a billion articles popped up when I typed ‘Taylor Swift.’

It's a testament to how we behave as a society when we adore or hate someone - in the public eye, from the public eye.

Or publically resent the attention and accolades received by the public eye.

Freedom of speech is synonymous with -Freedom to say whatever you want, whenever you want , to whoever you want - without any regards to anyone- but one’s own grandiose ego or ego in hypnotic reverse.

Everything in the media (social or otherwise) , has becomes a click-bait cycle of psycho~blending of societal issues, greasy political issues and absolute chaos.

It's a huge indicator of why we are where we are politically. (Which is not good btw)

What really matters in society, has somehow become interchangeable with blundering insanity and massive personalities and/or misplaced outrage.

“The pen (social media/all media ) IS mightier than the sword.”

What you say from or/on any platform, matters.

Whether you have a million followers plus -or 1 - someone is reading /watching.

The solution is simple, stop perpetuating chaos.

But in a society that thrives on chaos and bases human value on clicks, followers and engagement- chaos reigns over common sense and simplicity.

And overall humanity and humans.

—AND - when have we ever been simple~

* not a Swiftie perspective-this opinion is from a person who is not necessarily a typical fan of the content /music.

I don't hate her music.

It's just not what I listen to on the regular (unless my husband has the car music control 🤣).

But ~

She writes her own music, gives a way millions to charity (without announcing it or seeking recognition) , generously pays her staff, authentically adores her fans & honestly- seems like a GENUINELY nice person - which - is rare in her line of work.
